Intrinsic Imaging Awarded Neurointerventional Medical Device Clinical Trial

Intrinsic Imaging LLC, an ISO 9001:2008 compliant medical imaging core lab providing complete image management and radiological review services to global pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device organizations, announces today that it was recently awarded a neurointerventional medical device clinical trial.
During this trial, Intrinsic Imaging will provide all imaging core lab services including, but not limited to, imaging charter development, imaging site evaluation and training as well as all image acquisition, quality control and processing. Intrinsic Imaging will also provide its team of subspecialized radiologists to evaluate the device’s safety and efficacy.

In the United States alone, neurointerventional procedures are expected to reach more than 197,000 procedures by the year 2015. These procedures involve the use of numerous neurointerventional devices that are used for the prevention and treatment of various central nervous system diseases and disorders including Alzheimer’s disease, aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, brain/CNS tumors, epilepsy, head trauma, hydrocephalus, Parkinson’s disease, and stroke.
